By not letting their child ride a bike until the age of 14, for fear of injury, they are not letting them enjoy their childhood to its fullest. However, this isn’t exactly the best thinking, as children need to go outside and have fun with their friends. Of course, children can’t explain to their parents that bikes aren’t really that dangerous, because they don’t know, and even if they did, no one would listen to them.
