1. Bed Bug Rash
The rash begins with an itching feeling. The rash will not be visible but you\’ll be able to feel the itch. They are itchier than mosquito bites, and the itch can be felt only after a minimum time period of an hour. Sometimes, the rash comes out only a few days or weeks later.
A bed bug rash has a small, round and red bump that looks more swollen than a mosquito rash. In some cases, the rash looks similar to a sequential bite mark. If you suspect a bed bug rash, examine it for a few days. Prolonged itching is caused by the rash, lasting for days. A bed bug rash also doesn\’t heal as quickly as mosquito bites. Often, they remain swollen for weeks.
2. Odor of Bed Bugs
Next thing to look for is bed bug odor. How do bed bugs smell like?
A room where there\’s plenty of bed bug infestation has a musty, obnoxious smell that bed bugs release. You may find this smell under the headboard & mattresses. If your sofas have cracks, check if they\’ve got bed bug odor. They are also sometimes have bed bug infestation.
